About Dalynn May

Dalynn received her master's degree in social work from San Francisco State University, with an emphasis in individuals, families, and groups. She received her B.A. in psychology and sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she earned honors in both majors, and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

She has worked with people therapeutically since 1997, in individual, couples and group therapy. During her tenure at San Francisco General Hospital, Dalynn received extensive training in trauma, cultural diversity, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic therapy. She also ran treatment groups focusing on depression and anxiety issues.

She began her individual practice at the Marina Counseling Center, providing in-depth psychotherapy to individuals and couples. In 2004, Dalynn formed her own private practice, which she has been building ever since. She works with individuals and couples. Her couples practice includes pre-marital and marital, as well as same-sex counseling.

Dalynn loves her work, and finds it a great honor to spend time with her clients, listening to their stories, and helping them grow.
